Eddie Young

Chairman

In 2001 Eddie Young, along with the management team of ThinkAnalytics, acquired the company from its Nasdaq-listed parent, Gentia. Since then Eddie has led the company’s sales and business strategy.

Eddie has over 25 years in sales and management. In 1990, he established ACS (UK) an enterprise IT consultancy, and sold it to Dell in 2006 to form a significant part of Dell’s European Consultancy Practice. Eddie is also Founder and Chairman of ECS, one of the UK’s largest Cloud Services and Digital Transformation companies.

Eddie has a degree in Economics from Aberdeen University and a masters from the University of Natal (SA).

Peter Docherty

Founder and Chief Technology Officer

Peter Docherty founded ThinkAnalytics in 2001 and has been CTO leading the global R&D team since then. The technical brains behind the world’s most widely deployed personalised content recommendation engine, Peter’s vision for the massive potential of AI and machine learning goes back to the founding of the company.

Peter has a multitude of patents granted and pending to his name and is responsible for many industry firsts including, in 2006, the first recommendations engine for live, linear TV which is far more difficult than VOD and the first content discovery vendor to scale to over 100 million users in the cloud.

Since 2010 he has been on the Advisory Board at the University of Stirling and since 2013 he has been on the Industrial Advisory Board at the University of Strathclyde. Since 2016, Peter has been a member of the Innovation Advisory Board at The Data Lab, Scotland’s Innovation Centre for data science and AI.

Peter graduated in computer science and microprocessor systems from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland; has an MBA with Distinction from the University of Strathclyde Graduate Business School; and is a Chartered Engineer.

Chief Revenue Officer

Greg joined as Chief Revenue officer in August 2022.  A driven and results-oriented senior sales and business development executive with global and domestic experience in sales management, strategic planning, contract negotiations, client relationship management, and vendor/partner relations.  Within his 25 + years of experience in the Media and Entertainment space, Greg has held senior management positions with Comcast, Metrological, Arris, ActiveVideo, Synacor, and Oracle.  Greg launched his career with Accenture.

Greg is active with a number of non-profits including, the Global Down Syndrome foundation, Feeding America and the US Paralympic Ski Team.

Greg is an avid Tailgater and famous parking-lot Chef.

Samuel Sweet

CEO of EMEA and APAC

Samuel joined as CEO of EMEA and AP in November 2021. With more than 25 years’ sales experience, including 10 years in private equity-backed start-ups, Samuel brings the ideal mix of commercial acumen, operational excellence and deep industry knowledge to the company.

Samuel has a strong track record in building and scaling high-growth businesses. This includes leading the TiVo business outside of North America, presiding over a significant increase in revenues, and building partnerships with customers including Sky, Liberty Global, Virgin and Vodafone. He also spearheaded the successful launch of TiVo voice services in APAC and set up TiVo’s advanced monetization and advertising business development function.

Prior to TiVo, Samuel managed the largest account in the Cisco Service Provider Video Software Solutions (SPVSS) business, following Cisco’s acquisition of NDS, where he worked alongside ThinkAnalytics as a key partner.

Rob Sowers

Rob Sowers

Senior Vice President of Sales

Based out of the Los Angeles office, Rob has extensive experience selling emerging technologies into leading media & entertainment companies. He is most well-known in the pay-TV and OTT space for his role as Digitalsmiths’ vice president of sales until the company was acquired by Tivo.

Rob was also a key contributor at two high-growth SaaS companies: Netopia (acquired by Motorola) and Gomez (acquired by Compuware).

Rob has a MBA in International Business from the University of Southern California.

Richard Dowling

Richard Dowling

Senior Vice President Consulting

As senior vice president of consulting, Richard works with TV and media industry players advising on personalizing the viewing experience through the use of recommendations and content discovery. His role includes business development, technical pre-sales, through to customer deployment.

Richard joined ThinkAnalytics in 2000 from ADC Telecommunications. He has over 20 years’ experience in the predictive analytics, machine learning and artificial intelligence sector.

Richard graduated in Economics and Management Studies from Cardiff University.
